The Slick Skin Drum Fish Scaler allows you to automatically clean up to 50 smaller fish at the same time. You remove the pin that attaches the door to the large stainless steel drum, toss in the fish, replace the door. Add water and plug it in. Your fish are descaled in as little as 5 minutes. Remove the fish, dispose of the water and scales, rinse it off. For small fish, this is much faster and easier than using a hand scaler, even if it is electric.
This machine has been modified over the years. It has a large door opening, large holes that scrape the scales but do not fill with the residue, and a strong motor. We believe the Slick Skin is better than other drum scalers on the market. Why? The others have smaller holes which can plug up easily. It is the rough edges on the holes which scale the fish. If they are clogged, they will not do their job without cleaning. The Slick Skin is the one to get.
